кожа [Russian] aka Koža [Slovenian] (both meaning »Skin« in English) is the brainchild of one Mirco Dalos and the vehicle to render his musical and visual ideas. кожа was started ever since Mirco started in music and photography back then in 1989. He used different disguises then, but ulitmately with the split of his EBM-project »40 Measures« in 1994 and the formation of »Room 101« a year later, кожа took the shape it provides still today. кожа is a flexible artistic camouflage. Whenever Mirco works in the studio with bands and artists he tries to find a way to include the available personal into his sonic vision. So in the past кожа has formed and reformed hundreds of times with musicians as diverse as DIrk Berger (from the late »Seasons of Time«), to Maic Burkhardt (of »Tonsucht« fame) and even Jochen Wesseln and Mirco Feige from »FREEZ'N«. кожа also collaborates once in while with diverse singers/musicians from stage and chorus and sometimes even from the classical.

Musically кожа can be dark, gloomy and at times spooky and erotic, as it can be soft, light, celestial even. Lyrically it deals with the world as it appears: meaning politically, socially and whatsoever morally. In the combination of both soundscape and lyrical story-telling, кожа tries to unrevel the connections of human behaviour especially within the cause and effect of media exploitation and mere loss of the ability to differenciate between the subject's reality and media's virtuality. This antagonism is the root of all sonic and visual research of the project that is кожа the skin that wrappes it all in and takes the origin where it came from.

кожа is also a remix project, collaborating with various mixers/djs on mostly hidden and anonymous versions of songs of other bands/artists, that somehow seem to fit the кожа universe. Recently FREEZ'N's »Hot Girl« was кожа-xprienced and stored away unnamed on their »FREEZ'ONE« album. Now all the sexiness of the song shines through in it's full glory.
